A Simple Studio Growth Plan

A Simple Studio Growth Plan

There are three key areas that we need to focus on to see exponential growth. Problems arise sometimes when we do things out of order and this does affect our business.

The first thing that we need to focus on for simple studio growth is studio culture. What are your values? What do you wanna be known for? What is the heartbeat of your studio? You have to be able to articulate this: to our families, our staff, and the community. When you can clearly articulate what we believe in, what we stand for, and what our studio culture is, then we will attract the right families. The families that are toxic, who don't align with your values, will be repelled by them. You will find that you have less drama and more of the people that you actually wanna serve inside your studio. The key is to consistently reinforce your studio culture. When others know this about you, they will start sharing it. Your studio culture drives the next two areas of focus to grow your studio.

The next area of focus is retention. Do you track your retention numbers in your studio? Does your studio feel like a revolving door? We have to focus on retention because it is so much easier to keep a student than to find new ones to bring in. But it does take work to retain them - and intentionality. Sometimes we get so focused on enrollment and new leads and new students that we actually forget about the retention piece of the pie.

Lay out a retention plan to use throughout the year, with multiple touch points. Put this plan into the calendar. This is for the students and the parents. Parents need to feel like they are seen, heard, and part of something, too.

The third key we need to focus on is enrollment. We have to focus on lead generation and make it a priority to put people at the top of our lead funnel and add new students to our business.

If you're feeling stuck, consider seeking outside help. A fresh set of eyes can often accelerate your studio growth. Consider scheduling a studio success strategy session with a coach or consultant to help you come up with a plan to fix your gaps.
