You shouldn't wait to change things up. With a few small tweaks right now, you can finish 2023 strong.

You shouldn't wait to change things up. With a few small tweaks right now, you can finish 2023 strong.

The truth is you can have a business that fulfills you and also have a life outside of the business that fulfills you. So I'm really passionate about people creating their own unique vision of success.

Have you been finding yourself saying things like I’ll try that in January? In our minds, we tell ourselves things will slow down in January. Wow, what a story! My team will usually challenge me by asking why should we wait for January? New Year’s resolutions don’t really work - at least for me.

I call this thinking the Monday Mindset. I'm not going to start my diet until Monday. It gives us an excuse. to not work on the thing. So when we tell ourself in January, I will do X, Y, Z, because things will slow down. It gives us an excuse to not take action. Starting on Monday and starting in January are both excuses.

If you want something, you have to take action. You have to create a plan. If you know that things need to change in your studio, in your business, in your personal life, or in that work-life harmony, you have to make it happen now. It’s still 10 weeks until January. Do you want to wait 10 weeks?

What are you going to do in those 10 weeks? Waste time! If you start now, you’ll be steps ahead of everyone who waits until January. Time is something we cannot create more of and I know it’s a bit cliche but don't put off what you could do today for tomorrow. You don’t know how much time you have left to get it done.

Results happen quickly when you get into action and implement your plan to reach your goals. If you want to increase your enrollment, what are you doing today to make that a reality? If you want to make more money, what are you doing today to make that a reality? Each little bite-sized action is putting you closer and closer to the finish line. So if you start now, being intentional about taking action on the goals that you set out at the beginning of the year then you can finish 2023 strong.

You might have a marathon long-term goal - it could be your three to five-year plan - but you'll never cross the finish line if you don't hit the mile markers along the way. Those mile markers are you taking action and putting one foot in front of the other to get to the next mile marker. Pretty soon you’ll see the finish line ahead. You have to stay the course.

I'm sure it's something that you realize and you recognize there's no time like now. Now is the time to put in the work. A client asked me the other day if it was a good time to do an enrollment activity because we're coming into the holidays. Yes, now is a fantastic time. Anytime is a fantastic time. Why not do some activities that are going to attract new students? There is no time like now. New Year is a great time to start a dance. There's no time like now. Oh yeah, that's not just inside of the studio, but in your personal life. If there's something that you want, there is no time like now. If you want to get healthy, there's no time like now, if you want to. Get a massage. There's no time like now. If you want to go on vacation, there’s no time like now. If you want to spend more time at home with your kiddos, there's no time like now. Make a plan. Start small.

All of a sudden you'll be leaping across that finish line of that marathon that we talked about. And then things just feel magical.
