Quick Action Creates Results

April 05, 20243 min read

Let’s dive into how to identify signs and take quick action to create the results that are gonna have your heart singing. Quick actions create results and making a decision sets the path toward action.

How are you spending your time?

If you are not getting the results that you desire, I really want to challenge you to look at how you are currently spending your time. Are you busy, busy, busy, doing things that aren't in alignment with your goals and the results that you desire? We all are busy, but we get to decide how we spend our time. Do an analysis of your day by writing down all the things you are doing. Now, circle the ones that align with your goals. This might be a real eye-opener for you and help you realize that you're not focusing on what you need to grow.

Are you looking outside the box?

I live in the country and we have horses around us. Sometimes they'll put blinders on the horses so they focus only on one thing. Are you doing this to yourself? Are you only focusing on comp season or recital right now? If you have your blinders on and you're so focused on this one thing that you're not thinking about what's down the road, the opportunity might go by without you seeing it.

Are you staying stuck out of fear?

Is your life guided by fear and feelings over facts? There are a lot of dead squirrels on the road because they could not commit and they were scared to make a decision. Are you staying stuck out of fear: the fear of failing, the fear of making the wrong decision, the fear of am I good enough? A lot of times, fear masks itself in stories that we tell ourselves and excuses. I hear excuses of like when things calm down, then… I can't invest in that thing, because what if it doesn't work and I fail? That's fear. We delay action out of fear. Now most people will stay stuck or keep the status quo and then they complain that they don't understand why they’re not growing. If you are not getting the results that you really desire in your heart, we need to really get this in check and make sure you aren’t staying stuck out of fear. Trust your gut and your instincts. Lean into it and trust the opportunities opening up to you. Don’t allow past stories to come up. Trust yourself.

I made the decision long ago to trust myself and be a quick action-taker. I wanted to be committed to my goals and consistently in action. I want to be decisive and not hold myself back.

All this starts with support and accountability. No matter where we each are in the game of business, and in the game of life, we need support to keep us on track. We need someone to hold us accountable. We need someone who will call us up and ask us about our decisions and actions.
